We are an intergenerational circle of women.

We walk with our elders, teach each other plants and roots.

We harvest while swopping stories of our heritage and medicines.

We make balms, cleansing salts and alchemical soap.

Born out of a series of dreams and the deep desire to revive and share our heritage with the next generation of our village. We provide artisanal, creative skills, and psychosocial support to our growing circle of women. It is our prayer that the knowledge of our indigenous plants, traditions and lineage will ignite a sense of belonging, identity and purpose within the young women such that they will know how to make a good life for themselves and their community, through beauty.

The Beauty School is a project facilitated by Nicole Klassen and Gina Claasens. Incubated by Nalu Thando, at the McGregor Wisdom School.
