We walk with our elders, teach each other plants and roots.

We harvest while swopping stories of our heritage and medicines.

We make balms, shampoos and alchemical soap.

The Beauty School is a project incubated by the McGregor Wisdom School and facilitated by Nicole Klassen and Gina Claasens. This project is born out of a series of dreams and the deep desire to revive and share our inherited wisdoms with the young women of our village. We provide vocational skills, and psychosocial support to our growing circle of women. It is our prayer that the wisdoms of our Grandmothers, Mothers and Aunties will ignite a sense of belonging, identity and purpose within the young women such that they will know how to make a good life for themselves and their community, through beauty.
